Job Description:

Our client is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within; rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.

The role is required to deliver direct support service for all production requirements conducted within Newcastle Operations in conjunction with working in with supply chain to efficiently manage all good inward, storage, goods outward and logistics. The role is responsible for the control, accuracy and timely delivery of materials to production, subcontractors, customers and our clients' sites as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Tertiary education in procurement, supply chain, engineering or project management.
• CIPS or APICS accreditation is highly desirable.
• Advanced SAP operational experience with specific focus on Warehouse Management is highly desirable.
• Able to pass a medical.
• Strong leadership.

Work Experience:

• 3+ years' experience in Procurement
• 3+ years' experience in managing a team of direct reports
• Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
• Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, email.
• Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands.
• Handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
• Set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
