Job description
Our client is proudly Australia's leading steel manufacturing and distribution company.
They are looking or a Transport Allocator to schedule pick-up and deliveries for their Recycling Internal and Contract fleet.
The Transport Allocator communicates with all parties in the Recycling supply chain and responds to all requests, ensuring their promise to the Customer is met, and Safety is not compromised while maintaining efficiencies and professionalism at all times.

- Fulltime Monday-Friday 8-4pm
- $60.10 payrate
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in safety audits and safety observations.
- Maintain resources and equipment in an organised and clean condition (housekeeping).
- Report hazards and incidents immediately.
- Understand and participate in training to ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Manage and coordinate fleet transport operations within the branch network.
- Audit and sign off on driver hours and break times.
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding transport, deliveries and pickups.
- Planning and scheduling - complete load planning and scheduling process.
The Transport Allocator will exercise an external focus and deal with issues arising with respect to meeting the needs of all customers. This will be demonstrated by responding to enquiries in a timely manner and arrange for special collections or deliveries in accordance with requirements integral to the DIFOT (delivered in-full, on-time) result.
Requirements
- Previous planning and scheduling experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Available to start asap
- Own car and license
