Our client is a nationally recognised training organisation specialising in quality training solutions for organisations and individuals. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer & Assessor to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitation of quality training and assessment to students, ensuring compliance with the RTO standards, Smart and Skilled Contract and the RTO's requirements.

Salary: $120k-$140k per year

Role Overview:
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and effective training programs while assessing and evaluating learners' progress. You will work closely with the team to ensure that training materials are up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with industry standards. This role requires a blend of instructional expertise, assessment skills, and a passion for helping others succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training programs and workshops that meet the needs of learners and align with organisational goals.
  • Assess learners' progress through various methods including practical assessments, written tests, and observations. Provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Conduct visits at the workplace of students for monitoring of work-based training and assessment.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, assessments, and learner progress.
  • Provide support and mentorship to learners, addressing any concerns or challenges they may encounter during their training.
  • Ensure training programs comply with relevant regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, innovation, and creativity in the position.
  • Skills to interpret training packages and units of competency, develop and implement strategies for training and assessment, and design and develop assessment resources and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (minimum of TAE40116)
  • Recognised experience in the relevant industry where training is being delivered and assessed.
  • Current driver's license
