Retail Sales Assistant
Casual position, likely 2x shifts per week, with around 12 hrs available, as well as filling in where possible across sales periods & special event coverage.
Further details:
- Predominantly based at David Jones Doncaster, with occasional overage at both David Jones Glen Waverley and Chadstone locations.
- The days of week covered in store are from Thursday to Monday, so if you have schedule flexibility that would be best.
- Initially a couple of weeks will be training provided on the products, so possibly shorter shifts to begin with.
On top of hourly remuneration, commission on sales on top as well as a staff purchase policy and a product rewards program (eligibility after 3 months of service in the role). This allows team members to earn via a points system their own company products and what better way to sell the products than to use them yourself (all details provided once engaged for the assignment).

- Previous Sales and Customer Service experience
- A Great communicator with the ability to build rapport
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to work autonomously in a competitive environment
- Positive and passionate attitude
- Willingness to learn and be flexible
- Well-presented and good organisation skills
- Self-motivated and driven
- Ability to travel between locations
- Likes to think outside the box
- Multilingual is advantageous
- Whilst not necessary, experience in the bedding market is beneficial.
