The Role

If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment where your contribution is valued, this is the job for you! We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our close-knit team at our clients manufacturing site.

Ideally, you will bring previous maintenance experience and a proactive mindset. Your expertise will contribute to the development of preventative maintenance strategies, ensuring the seamless operation of our clients concrete product manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance routines
  • Identify the root cause of equipment failures and implement solutions
  • Provide timely and effective resolution of plant failures
  • Participate in capital and improvement projects
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Follow all Work Health & Safety (WHS) directives

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge and application of preventative maintenance strategies
  • Experience working in a structured maintenance team with accountability for KPI delivery
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality results
  • High-level knowledge and commitment to WHS and risk management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Formal trade qualifications required
  • Willingness to work shifts as required
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Welding skills (MMAW & MIG essential, TIG optional)
  • Significant experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably in manufacturing
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics training and experience
  • Flexible work availability
  • Current forklift license
  • Reliable transport

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance System (MEX preferred)
  • Working at Heights ticket
  • Rigger or Dogman ticket
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
