Safesearch have proudly partnered with Sicame Australia to find a site based Human Resources Manager based in Yatala.
Sicame Australia are a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality components specifically designed for the Industrial, Solar and Commercial markets. Continuously improving and innovating to ensure their products are cutting edge and of the highest quality.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position will predominantly be working from their modern facilities in Yatala and providing support as needed to the NSW distribution hub.

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and hands on Human Resources Manager to really make the role their own and help to influence Sicames' people strategy by driving employee communication and engagement to create a first-class work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes across the Sicame Australia operational sites
- Maintain all Human Resource records, files, registers, templates and forms in compliance with state laws and regulations
- Ensuring legal compliance by maintaining knowledge and understanding of current Human Resource and Industrial Relations regulatory requirements
- Maintain, improve and optimise the Human Resource management system, including policies, procedures and job descriptions
- Provide day-to-day support, guidance, encouragement and instructions to department Managers, Supervisors, and Leading Hands
- Manage all staff performance issues, including coaching, counselling, disciplinary actions and develop performance improvement plans when required
- Manage the recruitment of employees and assist with candidate screening and interviews, including inductions and onboarding of white collar employees
- Complete in house and Company Group HR reporting
This would suit a candidate with a minimum of 5 years' proven track record in HR management, ideally within manufacturing or engineering companies with a workforce of over 100 employees.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Human Resource Management or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management
- High level of HR business acumen
- Knowledge of Australian employment laws, and working knowledge of QLD and NSW employment law
- Advanced understanding of key Industry related awards and Fair Work Practices and processes
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to relate to, support and coach employees of all levels in the organisation
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- The ability to present and facilitate group meetings and events
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially when under pressure
