Safesearch have proudly partnered with Rino Recycling to find a site based HSE Advisor for their new, world leading recycling plant based in Pinkenba.

Rino Recycling are truly revolutionising Brisbanes Recycling and Resource Recovery industry with their fully automated recycling plant turning construction and demolition waste into recycled material for new infrastructure projects.

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, this is a hands-on operational role that will see you working predominantly from their state-of-the-art facilities in Pinkenba, while providing support & overseeing the additional site nearby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being a visible champion of safety & proactively promoting safe systems of work
  • Conduct regular & thorough workplace inspections, safety audits & risk assessments
  • Supporting WHS education, training & mentoring, facilitating site inductions
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance and reviewing documentation
  • Reviewing & developing HSE management systems, processes & procedures
  • Incident investigation & hazard reporting
  • Assist with Rehabilitation & Return to Work

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2-3 years operational experience in a similar role within manufacturing, mining, construction, waste management or other heavy industry
  • A Diploma in WHS - minimum requirement Cert IV in WHS (ICAM investigation, Training & Assessment Certificate highly desirable)
  • Working knowledge of WHS legislation & Codes of Practice
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Must hold a current full QLD drivers' licence
