Hours: Day shift /Afternoon shift, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $34.00 to $39.00per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our packaging and warehouse team. This role involves handling packaged alcohol products, operating forklifts, and performing various material handling tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring careful handling of products.
- Transport pallets of packaged alcohol to storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and organize pallets in designated storage areas, adhering to inventory management procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Pick and pack individual cases or bottles using an RF scanner.
- Report and escalate any issues with machines or conveyors to the line leader.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Capable of safely operating a forklift and performing tasks involving bending and reaching.
Additional Information:
- The role reports to the line leader and does not involve direct reports.
- Line leaders will provide support and supervision, working alongside a team of 4 operators.
