Our client
Our client is a local government council who manage and maintain residential and commercial services. They are in need of a Business Support Officer to start asap!

Primary purpose
To provide the Business Unit with high quality and professional administrative
assistance, effective communication and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Criteria

  • High level qualifications in business administration or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Highly developed computer skills combined with an excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, financial accounting software and corporate systems.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels.
  • Sound research skills, with ability to locate and summarise information from limited leads.
  • Ability to initiate action, exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Experience managing data and utilising same for accurate business reporting.
  • High level of responsive customer service, delivered in a timely and accurate manner with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a flexible manner in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and interests.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and safety and Cultural Diversity principles.
  • NSW Driver Licence.
  • Provide current police check or willing to obtain
  • Pass a pre-employment check with medical

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Local Government work environments.
