Job description
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Storesperson with a Forklift Licence to join our dynamic warehouse team in Gepps Cross.
About the role:
This role involves various warehouse duties, including packing orders, stock picking, stock management, and forklift operation. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, efficient, and capable of performing both manual and machine-operated tasks to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: $32.25
Location: GEPPS CROSS - 5094
Roster can vary from the below shift:
7am - 3pm
8am - 4 pm
9am - 6pm
Monday to Friday with Half days Saturdays
Warehouse Operations:
- Organise and pack customer orders in the front section of the warehouse.
- Accurately pick stock from shelves based on order requirements.
- Perform manual tasks, such as delivering picked items using trolleys, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Must be able to handle heavy lifting of Truck parts
Forklift Operation: Counterbalance(gas and electrical forklifts)
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move stock and deliver picked items to trucks on site.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are handled with care and placed in the correct locations
Stock Management:
- Assist with regular stock takes, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Ensure all stock is properly stored and organized to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures when operating the forklift and carrying out manual handling tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Report any unsafe working conditions or accidents to management.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with the warehouse team, ensuring orders are processed efficiently.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with other ad-hoc warehouse tasks as required.
- Perform general warehouse maintenance, including ensuring equipment is well-maintained.
