Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Sandblaster to join our client's team, working specifically on rail projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cleaning metal surfaces using abrasive blasting techniques to ensure they are ready for painting or further processing. You will be working in an industrial setting with a focus on maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, prepare, and smooth rail components and surfaces.
• Inspect rail components for any defects or damage prior to sandblasting.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sandblasting, ideally within the rail or heavy industry sector.
• Ability to operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in industrial environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

Preferred:

• Experience working on rail infrastructure or related industries.
• Certification or training in sandblasting or surface preparation techniques.
