Production Operator/Machine Setter

Our clients in Clayton, VIC are searching for a new production operator.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be located at our operations facility in Clayton, Melbourne. In this role you will be responsible for setting and operating a range of production machinery for the manufacture of wire thread insert fastening systems.
Additional areas of accountability include:

• Setup, operate and monitor manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Ensure safety and quality requirements are achieved
• Undertake housekeeping activities to ensure the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Undertake routine maintenance activities and troubleshooting
• Prepare tooling such as mandrels and cutters through the use of hand tools and bench-top equipment

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• A strong mechanical aptitude
• Proactive and energetic individual who is capable of managing a range of competing priorities in a production environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill
• Basic computer knowledge and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to set manufacturing equipment in accordance with low tolerance parameters
• Reliable, punctual and have good work ethics
• Australian citizens or permanent residents only
• Certificate III Process Manufacturing highly desirable
