Production Operator/Forklift Operator

Location: Somersby
Salary: $33.13 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00/4:00 PM
Type: Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement within 2 months

About the Role:
Join a leading Australian company specialising in concrete pipes and products as a Production Operator/Forklift Operator. You will play a crucial role in producing steel-reinforced concrete pipes while ensuring safety and efficiency in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily pre-start checks on equipment.
• Prepare tools and materials for production.
• Operate forklifts to move pipes, reinforcement cages, and other materials.
• Open moulds and remove finished pipes for the next production cycle.
• Monitor pipe quality and resolve any issues.
• Label products and perform finishing tasks like cleaning and patching.
• Maintain cleanliness in production areas and assist with maintenance as needed.
• Report safety or quality concerns and communicate effectively with your team.
• Be available for occasional overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in concrete pipe production or related manufacturing fields is preferred.
• Must be physically fit to do manual production labour
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (company-paid courses).

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift license required.
• Own vehicle preferred.
• EWP and Confined Space certifications are advantageous but not essential.
