Our client is a global leader in heavy diesel engines and power generation across multiple industries. They have an enormous market presence in Australia within the mining sector with 37 branches across the country. You'll see their name on trucks, generators, powerpacks and mobile plant equipment. They are consistently growing, creating new technology, upskilling their workforce all whilst ensuring new career growth opportunities are developed within.



The Role

As a Work Shop Technician operating in Perth, you will be exposed to the latest technology and developed to be capable of working on a wide range of equipment. You will perform all manner of repairs, reconditioning and troubleshooting on heavy diesel engines with mining applications. You'll get the chance to work on a large variety of OEM engines and equipment, learning from established industry professionals. Furthering good relationships with colleagues and customers in the Service Centre means your technical and communication skills will play a key role in success.



Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver a first-class service to our mining customers
  • Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance on a variety of mining and mobile plant equipment
  • Carry out engine reconditioning services including, stripping, troubleshooting and rebuilds
  • Fill out job reports using internal software
  • Working on state-of-the-art high horse power diesel engines
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environment policies



Requirements:

  • An Australian recognised trade certificate in Electrotechnology
  • Demonstrable experience working on engine reconditioning, repairs and rebuilds
  • Basic level knowledge of and / or experience with power generation products
  • Great teamwork and communication skills
