L1 Desktop Engineer - Newcastle

Short Assignment - Immediate start
Start Date - Mid August
On-site Role

The Role

A top-tier client is currently seeking multiple Desktop Engineers - L1 to join a dynamic team for one of its major key project. This project is supporting a local government site.

You must be flexible to work extra hours and on the weekend/Public Holidays if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform remote or onsite troubleshooting on technical issues (PC or network related).
  • Perform hardware swap (PC/Laptop/Peripherals).
  • Able to prepare documentations (review/update based on technical findings).
  • Local Government Customer Site - Will require someone trustworthy and reliable
  • Able to train and guide others (process and technical basics).
  • Punctual and able to work on various tasks (includes moving devices, boxes)

Skills and experience

  • Must have 2+ years of solid desktop L1 support experience
  • Good experience with troubleshooting and be able to work along infrastructure team - related to imaging, packaging, Microsoft administration, networking
  • Strong stakeholder/client management experience
  • Previous experience working with a local/state government client is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with end customer and resolve their issues
  • Attention to detail, punctual
  • Must have full working rights
  • A recent Police check is a bonus
