About the role
- The purpose of the User Experience Designer (Junior to Intermediate level) will be to help with the ongoing discovery work in Residential Tenancies and move into detailed design.
- The role will inform the delivery of new multi-channel user services, ensuring that user needs drive design decisions.
- The primary focus will be a new User Portal and Case Management System as part of the Service Transformation Program (STP).
- The User Experience Designer will be responsible for using community insights (quantitative and qualitative) to define user interactions across multiple channels including web, mobile and in-person. Adopting agile and iterative design practices, they will translate insights into solutions through scoping, wireframing and prototyping; and then ensure these concepts are tested in the real world.
- The User Experience Designer will bring a passion for users, technology, and human centred design to the STP, helping business stakeholders, service designers, product owners, and development teams to creatively problem solve and adapt to changing circumstances across the business and the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Human Centered Design Lead, the User Experience designer will play a critical role in understanding the current state experience for Residential Tenancies users. These include renters, rental providers, real estate agents, caravan park owners and caravan park operators to name a few.
- Translate research insights, public data and technical requirements into solution prototypes
- Prototyping will mainly entail high-fidelity interactive wireframes and visual designs by using an existing design system. Experience of working with design system to create future state designs and enhance the design system as per needs
- Ability to work and understand the complexities and nuances of a legacy system and be comfortable with ambiguity
- High attention to detail will be an absolute must to be able to succeed in this role.
- Be able to work independently with some support from Lead UX designer and Content Designer
- Some experience with conducting moderated usability tests is needed. Validate solutions using the most appropriate usability testing techniques and methodologies. Right from recruitment to research planning, execution, and synthesis. Plan and conduct quantitative and qualitative user research to develop the evidence base and inform decision making for STP. Synthesise and elegantly visualise insights from this research through reports, presentations, user flows, personas, and other design artefacts for the STP team and stakeholders across the business.
- Collaboration with other stakeholders and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 - a good to have. Not critical for this role
Key Skills required:
- Ability to map as-is state user flows and user journeys
- High level of confidence and experience working with Figma and Design system
- Strong attention to detail
- Moderated user research experience also would be required.
