Job description

Overview:

Responsible for managing terminal projects, working with various internal departments and external engineering consultants, contractors, or service providers to execute the project plan. Ensure projects are delivered from design to commissioning safely, to the agreed scope and quality, on time and on budget. Work with the procurement team and Engineering Manager to ensure that procurement processes are followed.

Responsibilities:

SAFETY:

· Ensure all the safety sessions and tool boxes are being held on the site, and all the people involved in the

project, or impacted by the project, are aware of the project risks and safety requirements

DESIGN:

· Support the engineering team in improving the design and ensuring it meets all applicable Australian,

International, and company standards. Review the design prepared by contractors/consultants

CONSTRUCTION:

· Support the engineering team in preparing/reviewing/following up on the project program and obtaining

information required for satisfying design, procurement, and construction requirements.

PROJECT FINANCING:

· Review proposals, keep track of project finance and costing, and highlight deviations.

SUPERVISION:

· Coordinate project execution activities to ensure that projects are implemented safely, within

budget and schedule and that the site is controlled and managed per standards.

· Through project coordination meetings and other means, monitor progress against project

schedules and budgets; deploy resources as required in accomplishing goals.

· Follow up on action plans derived from construction contract dispute resolution meetings.

· Day-to-day supervision of construction and commissioning, ensure the site is controlled and

managed per standards and as efficiently and effectively as possible

· Managing a safe workplace is the minimum requirement of the role. In addition to that,

overarching guidelines must be adhered to

Experience / Qualifications:

· A recognised mechanical/civil Engineering degree will be considered an advantage.

· Minimum of 10 years of proven and progressive project management experience

· Experience in storage tanks construction and piping erection works, fire systems and pumps

· Cost estimation experience

· Experience in following up on electrical & instrumentation works will be considered an advantage

· Successful track record in achieving tasks and managing and influencing people
