Job description
Currently seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer ith local government experience. This role will focus on the design of stormwater management systems and bridges. The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 10 years of design experience, with a strong emphasis on the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects related to stormwater and bridges.
As a Civil Engineer with us, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our communities by working on projects that impact local infrastructure. Experience with local government projects is highly desired, as you will collaborate with public sector clients and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the design of stormwater management systems, drainage solutions, and bridge structures.
Manage and execute various phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, drafting, and construction documentation.
Perform technical design calculations, analysis, and evaluations for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local codes, regulations, and standards.
Prepare project reports, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and other technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, local government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technical staff.
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure quality and accuracy.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Address technical challenges and propose innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5 to 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on stormwater management and bridges.
Extensive experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.).
Thorough understanding of local government regulations and guidelines for infrastructure projects.
Proven experience with project management, cost control, and project coordination.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
Ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Local government project experience is highly desired.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not required.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is a plus.
Experience with environmental regulations and sustainable design practices is advantageous.
