The role would better suit a strong person and mechanically minded, as there is a bit of heavy lifting with 10kg bags (finished goods, palletising, raw material handling) and also the mixing/rolling task.

  • Must clear police check and have full working rights.
  • Must also be able to read and write English
  • Must be able to work Mon-Fri ongoing


Afternoon shift: 2:30pm-11:30pm (Saturdays in peak season - Level 4)

Pay:$35.91/h

JOB DESCRIPTION


Tasks and duties

  • Learn all tasks on production line - from mixing to packing, palletising
  • Maintaining a high standard of safety and hygiene in the workplace.
  • Preparing and maintaining production reports and records.
  • Operating machinery and maintaining equipment
  • Following set production schedules and targets
  • Performing corrective actions when production quality is not met.
  • Packing and repacking items when necessary.
  • Report faults or production issues to the Manager
  • Maintain high standard of personal hygiene
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Must have a Police check
  • Physically fit (some heavy lifting involved with raw materials)
  • Completed relevant vocation studies in food manufacturing


Skills

  • Previous experience as a production worker
  • Good understanding of how production equipment works
  • Ability to detect potential problems with machinery
  • Knowledge of basic safety rules
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Team player
