Job Opportunity: Maintenance Fitter / Electrical Fitter

Location: Thornton
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (6am - 2pm), occasional overtime
Hourly Rate: $54.60 per hour

Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter or Electrical Fitter looking for a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic and innovative team? The Role:
You'll play an integral part in the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment. Working within a supportive team environment, your contributions will be highly valued. This role involves conducting preventative maintenance, identifying and resolving equipment issues, and participating in capital and improvement projects. You will have the chance to help shape and improve the maintenance strategy, ensuring the smooth running of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures promptly.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS directives and safety standards.
  • Assist with capital and improvement projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Trade qualifications (Fitter, Electrical Fitter, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Experience working with maintenance KPIs and structured work processes.
  • Strong commitment to WHS and risk management practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Welding experience (MMAW & MIG), with TIG being an advantage.
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics training and experience.
  • Forklift ticket and reliable transport.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Systems (MEX).
  • Working at Heights ticket.
  • Rigger or Dogman ticket.
