Job Title: Carpenter
Location: Milsons Point, Sydney
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Job Description:
Our client is a trusted leader in the building/demolition and construction industry. Specialising in safe and efficient building construction, they provide high-quality, professional services to both residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely dismantle and remove structures, including walls, floors, and framing, using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Assess and safely remove wood, metal, and other building materials for recycling or disposal.
- Safely operate demolition equipment, such as sledgehammers, power tools, and saws, as well as lifting equipment.
- Work closely with site managers to follow safety protocols and demolition plans.
- Cut, remove, and dispose of materials while maintaining structural integrity and minimising damage to surrounding areas.
- Follow safety guidelines to protect yourself, team members, and the environment.
- Maintain and organise tools, equipment, and work spaces to ensure efficiency and safety on the job site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter, construction worker, or similar role, with a focus on demolition and deconstruction.
- Strong knowledge of building structures and materials, and how to safely dismantle them.
- Experience working with demolition tools and equipment (saws, hammers, drills, power tools).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding safety and precision.
- Ability to assess and adapt to changing project conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous demolition carpentry or construction experience.
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and hazardous materials handling.
