Position Overview: As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing engines at customer sites. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work autonomously, offering the chance to engage with a diverse range of engines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver top-tier service to mining and mobile plant customers.
  • Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance on various engines and equipment.
  • Conduct engine reconditioning services, including stripping, troubleshooting, and rebuilding.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all services, including service worksheets, time sheets, and warranty claims.
  • Identify and act on additional service opportunities while building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper operation of your service vehicle and tools.

What We're Looking For:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate III (Heavy Vehicle/Mobile Plant or Light Vehicle).
  • Extensive experience in field service work, particularly with engine reconditioning, repairs, and rebuilds.
  • Expertise in high-horsepower diesel engines.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience in mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior technicians (preferred).
  • A vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution is preferred.
  • A valid local driving permit; licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be necessary.
