Executive Assistant

Manpower is actively engaged with our large State Government client, who are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join their organisation in a short-term contract with a likelihood of further extension.

The hourly rate of this role would be between $44-$55 per hour excl. super.

Location: Melbourne CBD. Flexible working arrangements.

Government experience preferred.

THE ROLE

Reporting into the Director, the Executive Assistant will provide administrative support and will contribute to the key projects and initiatives led by the Branch in support of the Victorian Government's Education State agenda.

The successful candidate will be experienced, highly-organised and have strong interpersonal/communication skills. They will thrive in an environment that gives them the opportunity to:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensures that the appropriate level of analysis is undertaken for a procurement activity and that the appropriate level of approval is sought
  • Manage reception and provide phone support, answering queries as appropriate
  • Support recruitment processes, including approval requests, scheduling of interviews, preparation of forms
  • Arrange office meetings such as booking and preparing venues, agendas, catering, minutes etc.
  • Assist in the development and review of manuals and procedures
  • Modify, implement and effectively maintain administrative, filing and information management systems
  • Contribute to projects including reporting, monitoring of budgets and tracking progress
  • Develops and implements systems and procedures to guide work and track progress
  • Constantly looks for continuous improvement opportunities and ways to innovate, and encourages others to do the same
